What happens to the information you send us through this website.

The short version

You can read every page of this site without telling us anything. There is no sign-up, no account, no newsletter, and nothing here follows you around. The only time this website collects anything about you is when you fill in the contact form and press send.

Who is responsible

Rockwell Rovers GAA is the data controller for anything sent through this website. Questions about your information, or a request to see or delete it, go through our contact form.

Club membership is not held here. Membership and player registration are handled through Foireann, the national GAA/LGFA/Camogie system. If your question is about your membership record, it is Foireann that holds it, not this website.

What the contact form collects

  • Your name, so we know who is asking.
  • Your email address, and your phone number if you choose to give one, so we can reply.
  • Your message.
  • The IP address the message was sent from. This is used only to stop the form being used to send the club hundreds of automated messages, by limiting how many can arrive from one address in a short period.

That is the whole list. There are no hidden fields beyond a single decoy input that is invisible to people and is only ever filled in by automated software.

Why we are allowed to hold it

You asked us a question and we are answering it. Under the GDPR that is our legitimate interest in running the club and replying to people who contact it. Keeping the IP address to prevent abuse of the form is the same basis.

Who else sees it

Club officers, through the club's own booking system. Nobody outside the club. Your message is not sold, shared, or used to advertise anything to you, and it is not sent to any third-party service for processing.

How long it is kept

Enquiries are kept while they are being dealt with and for a period afterwards so the club has a record of what was agreed about a booking. The exact period is listed at the top of this page once the club has set it.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Send a request through our contact form and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.

Children

The club runs teams from under-6 upwards, but this website is not where any of that is recorded. No child's details are collected here, and the public schedule shows team names, grounds and times — never the name of any player, mentor or parent.

Cookies

This site does not use any. That is unusual enough to deserve its own page — see Cookies.
